Prayer, Meditation, and Relaxation Space

The Prayer, Meditation, and Relaxation Space is located on West Campus inside the Learning Resources Center (LRC) around the corner from the front entrance. The Prayer, Meditation, & Relaxation space allows individuals of all religious faiths and non-religious beliefs to experience a place for prayer, meditation and/or reflection throughout the day. There are meditation cushions, prayer rugs, and religious texts for anybody to use. There is also a meditation table in the space. The PMR space is not intended for any organized programs or meetings and is available for use by students and staff when the LRC is open.

@sbcc_lrc Whether through prayer, meditation, or simple relaxation, taking time to pause may help enhance focus and neuroplasticity, foster a growth mindset, improve learning, and support mental and emotional health. We invite you to stop by and experience the space for yourself. #SantaBarbaraCityCollege #SBCC #MentalHealth #Meditation #Relaxation #Prayer #chill #santabarbara #relaxationtime #zen #chillout #breatheinbreatheout #boxbreathing ♬ Gods creation - daniel.mp3
