About Eli
Hello, I'm Eli. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, I've remained rooted in this beautiful coastal community since the 70’s. After graduating from Santa Barbara High School, I embarked on my academic journey at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). Throughout my time there, I took full advantage of the resources available, particularly the Educational Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS). This program not only provided support but also provided me the belief that I could strive for more than I ever thought possible. Building on this foundation, I earned a degree in Sociology from Northridge, followed by a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling.
Since 2001, I've been dedicated to helping students at SBCC, primarily within the EOPS program. Also, I have the honor of teaching a Personal Development 100 class, where I engage with students in a different capacity. Outside of work, I cherish moments spent with my wife and two basketball-loving boys. Exploring our beautiful mountains, whether on bikes or mountain trails, brings me immense joy.
